COMM12030  Desktop Publishing

This course introduces students to desktop publishing using Adobe PageMaker. Students will develop the skills necessary to use the program for a variety of tasks. They will also learn fundamental design principles to maximise the potential for their documents to communicate effectively.

Students will need access to:

• a computer, PC or Macintosh;
• the software Pagemaker 6.5 or latter, already installed.

The computer needs to be connected to:

• a printer, colour or black and white;
• a CD-ROM drive
• a disc drive, such as floppy or zip.

An Internet connection is recommended, but not absolutely necessary.
