BMED19007  Forensic Chemistry

This course introduces students to the field of forensic chemistry. Topics to be studied include the detection of illicit and prescription substances and the pharmacology of these drugs, forensic toxicology associated with poisoning and invenomation, investigations of fires and explosions, examination of law cases involving complex forensic evidence, and emergent new analytical methodologies in forensic science. Distance education students will be required to attend residential school.
