BLSV12024 Inspection Procedures
Offered from Winter 2002
This is a practically based inspection procedures
course to develop the students awareness of on-site
behaviour, activities and procedures associated with
inspections for both the building development and
regulatory control processes for all classes of buildings
as defined in the Building Code of Australia. It will
develop an understanding of:
- the roles and responsibilities
of the inspecting officer;
- legal rights and obligations for all parties; and
- quality procedures associated with site inspections.
This course will also provide an introduction to
undertaking post-disaster and hazardous location
inspections. Students will be expected to undertake
site visits as an integral part of this course.
