TOUR20017 Tourism: Development, Practices & Impacts
Tourism involves a complex range of activities
and is considered as a primary focus of economic growth and rejuvenation
in contemporary societies. However, whilst tourism can generate
economic activity, it also has accompanying socio-cultural and environmental impacts.
This course examines the tourism industry from the standpoint of
ecologically sustainable development and considers the various components
of the tourism industry within this context as well as past, present
and future issues and trends.
