HLTP20002 Primary Health Care Across Societies
An introduction of culturally based value systems regarding
the sanctity of health and social justice will be provided. Models
of health care, for example, the biomedical and primary health care
models will be examined relative to society, government and the politics
of health from a philosophical perspective. This course will provide
a broad understanding of sociological theories and other factors
which have influenced the changes within the Australian health care
sector over the years and explores associated issues. Transcultural
and multicultural societies will be examined.
