EDED20255 Research in Open & Distance Learning

Open and distance learning is examined through the analysis
of research concerned with: communications technologies; delivery
and process in rural education; continuing professional education
and training; open access learning. Socio-economic issues and outcomes
associated with open and distance learning are considered within
a critical, reflective theoretical framework. The course also draws
upon research concerned with understanding the nature and process of
educational change. The course will enable students with an interest
in open and distance learning to choose an appropriate approach
and perspective in planning and implementing the Professional Practicum.
