The entry requirement is a Bachelor of Communication degree or Bachelor of Arts degree with a plan in a relevant discipline and a grade point average in a relevant discipline of Distinction level or above, or a qualification deemed equivalent. Applications for entry to Honours are considered on their individual merits. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements specified are not guaranteed entry. Program StructureThe BCommn (Hons) program consists of 48 units of credit of coursework, research and dissertation. The coursework component consists of one core course and two electives (a total of 24 units of credit). The research component will consist of a 15 000 - 25 000 word dissertation (24 units of credit). A typical enrolment pattern for a full-time student is as follows:

Year 1 Part-time students will normally undertake the coursework courses in Year 1, and the dissertation in Year 2 of their candidature. Elective courses enable staff members to teach in specialist areas. Their offering will depend on staffing availability.
