Musical continuities across a range of styles, contexts and practices (art, popular, non-western, experimental and cinema) are the focus of this course. Theoretical perspectives of music encountered in Materials of Music I are extended upon and special attention is given to creative aspects of music making through improvisation, composition and performance.
