In this continuation of the study of public sector
organisations in Australia, topics include the decision-making process
including advisory bodies and ministerial staff, the budget process
and financial coordination, public personnel practices such as recruitment
and selection, promotion, appeals, the career service concepts,
permanence and neutrality, secrecy and silence, technology and its
impact, local government organisation and its possibilities, changes to
review of the public service and such current issues as equal employment
opportunity and lateral recruitment.
