MGMT19099 Government Policy & Practices
An introduction to public administration in Australia,
mainly at the federal and the state level with continued reference
to local government. Topics include Australian political institutions and
machinery of government, the development and growth of the Australian
public sector, intergovernmental relations, coordination agencies
at federal and state levels, administrative theories and structures,
departments of state, statutory authorities, policy making and administration,
and relations with the public such as the regulatory role of government,
freedom of information and administrative review.
