INDG11010 Aboriginal & Islander
Issues & Contemporary Society
This course examines the nature and function
of traditional Aboriginal and Islander societies and the changes
in these which have contributed to the emergence of contemporary
social forms, structures and function. From this basis the course
analyses the complex social problems and dysfunctions which have
accompanied changes in traditional social fabrics, and the aspects
of government social policy aimed at ameliorating such problems.
