EDSE20010 Secondary Science Education
II
The principles identified in Secondary Science
Education I are extended to a wider range of situations and contexts
in this course. The emphasis is therefore on making those principles
useful in a practical way in a range of science teaching contexts.
Particular contexts addressed include different teaching situations
(laboratories, field trips), individualising learning, exceptionality
in students, girls in science, and effective science teaching and
learning practices effectively. Aspects of curriculum and planning
such as curriculum organisations for general science, science and
technology, and assessment alternatives are also examined.
