‘Cultural Industries' introduces students to topics, issues and controversies associated with the construction and circulation of cultural meanings and values by cultural agencies and industries. Through a focus on documentary films, students encounter theoretical issues and frameworks, questions of regulation & management of cultural industries, and the role of cultural industries in constructing national and personal identities.
