BIOL13029  Applied Molecular Biology


This subject will consider the mechanism of protein synthesis and its genetic control. There will be strong emphasis on nucleic acid and in the processes of replication, transcription and translation and in the control of gene expression. The role of recombinant DNA in medicine and in applied microbiology will be considered.
