00206  Interactive Animation

This course provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to create interactive 2D animations that are suitable for inclusion in a Web-based multimedia presentation. Topics covered include animation themes and styles, conceptualisation, animation techniques, layout, colour, backgrounds, characterisation, movement, interactivity and soundtracks. Practical work will involve the use of Macromedia Flash. Access to a multimedia computer with an Internet connection and a CD-ROM drive is a requirement for this course. Students who enrol in this course are expected to have an understanding of the topics covered in 00101 Introduction to Multimedia.
