MDWF20002  The Childbearing Family

This course introduces the student to the normal aspects of the child bearing family from preconception through to early parenting. Areas that are addressed include family dynamics, communication and sexuality, and looks at all aspects of health for the well woman. The concepts of professional and developing roles of the midwife as well as the legal issues relating to midwifery are also addressed.
