MATH12173  Linear Algebra

The mathematical topics presented here find application in most other areas of mathematical pursuit. Students studying in this course will investigate the foundation results covering systems of linear equations, matrix algebra and determinants before discussing vector geometry and vector spaces, eigenvalues, and diagonalisation, linear transformations, inner product spaces and linear programming. The software package MATLAB is introduced as a learning tool and access to it is a requirement of the program.
