HRMT20008  Contemporary Issues in Human Resources Management

HRM emerged as a disciplinary field in the mid 1980s. The ‘buzzwords’ of the 1990s reflect trends and developments in the theory and practice of HRM. But what is the future? This course encourages students to critically reflect on contemporary issues in the discipline, building on the foundations of HRM developed in HRMT20007  , and to assess likely future developments and the implications these may have for organisational practice.
