HLTH20023 Working with Communities
This course develops the student's ability
to see the big picture of client needs in the
context of the community. In this sense the community becomes the
client. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of working with
communities are explored, as well as the role of the community worker
in assisting to facilitate change. A strong emphasis is placed on
skills and strategy acquisition, and on involvement and participation
in local community needs, projects and issues.
