HLPB20004  Remote & Rural Health

This course aims to examine the appropriateness of existing models of health care in remote and rural communities. The content includes: models of health service delivery, the concept of multi-purpose centres, multi-skilling of health professionals, community expectation of health care, and the role of primary health care, both nationally and internationally. Note: cross institutional enrolment.
