ECOM20002 Security, Ethics & Electronic Commerce
Systems
This course will expose students to two interrelated fields
of study as they relate to information technology. In an integrated
way we will first look at the multi-faceted aspects of electronic
commerce (e-comm). Secondly, we will investigate how security,
including moral and ethical issues, is integral to the analysis
and formulation of e-comm business solutions. This will include,
but is not limited to topics of security control procedures, technologies
including cryptography issues and firewalls, risks and risk assessment,
Internet & Intranet associated risks, topology, and electronic checks & cash.
Access to the Internet is desirable but not
mandatory.
