Summary DefinitionsDuration: This is the minimum time required to complete the degree in either full-time, part-time, or external mode. Mode Internal: Study conducted where there is a need to regularly attend a class(s) on campus. This mode of study may or may not involve some instruction through paper-based, external or on-line mediums. External: Principally paper-based external study conducted where there is no need to regularly attend class(s) on campus. This mode of study may or may not involve some instruction through irregular face-to-face (e.g. residential workshops), on-line or other instruction (i.e. teleconference). Multi-modal: Where a student may enrol in different modes of study for each courses (i.e. internal mode for one course and external mode for another). On-line: Study is conducted 100 per cent on-line and there is no need to regularly attend class(s) on campus. Location: This denotes at which CQU campus the student is able to study this degree in an internal capacity. In some instances, courses may be started at one campus, but students may be required to complete at Rockhampton or as an external student. B - Bundaberg Please note BIC, FIC,GIC, MAL, MIC, SIC, HK and SING cater only for international or full fee-paying students. Courses/units of credit: This is the minimum credit point or course completion requirement for eligibility to graduate. Details of the credit point or course load are contained in program information. Faculty: This is the CQU Faculty through which the program is run. Many CQU programs are run as joint programs, and students are advised to contact their specific program advisor with any queries. Entry: This denotes the method of entry to the program. Most undergraduate degrees are entered via QTAC. For specific information regarding types of entry via QTAC, refer to Admission details in this Handbook. In addition to QTAC application, some programs also require an interview or audition. In these cases, prospective students must contact CQU Admissions on 07 4930 9000 for the relevant audition or interview form. Accreditation: This denotes whether the program leads to recognition or accreditation by registered industry bodies. Accreditation to membership of the body named is dependent upon successful graduation from the suggested programs, and in many instances graduates must complete further training for full membership. Contact the relevant program advisor for further information. Practicum/Work Placement: This denotes the minimum amount of practical or work related experience required to be eligible for graduation. Residential School: This denotes the residential school requirements of a particular program. In many instances, this is dependent upon courses selected, and students are advised to consult the Residential School Timetable and Table of Course Availability to ensure that there are no clashes. Students are responsible for any costs incurred. Exit Awards: This denotes any exit awards within the program, which allow students to be recognised for work completed to a certain level within a particular program.
