Program Overview The degree enhances the professional skills that students acquired in their primary degree by allowing students to assess more rigorously the links between the theoretical bases and practice. The degree also develops skills in problem analysis and research which can be applied at the professional level. The Honours degree is the first step in undertaking an academic or research orientated career as it provides access to higher degrees by research. It is expected that candidates who achieve 24 points (where the grades of High Distinction = 4, Distinction =3, Credit = 2, and Pass = 1 for each subject successfully completed) in their best 36 units of credit of their final two years of degree study (48 units of credit) will be admitted. However, candidates whose levels of achievement fall below these admission requirements for any particular year, may apply to the faculty concerned for special consideration of their applications.
