Entry Requirements
There are three possible options for entry into this program:
- Students who have completed the GD RSM or equivalent can apply for 48 units of credit towards the Master of Rail Safety Management. All other applications for Credit Transfer will be assessed by the Head of Program on a case-by-case basis.
- A three year bachelor degree from an Australian university or equivalent international qualifications
- Consideration may also be given on an individual basis to applicants with professional OHS (non-degree) qualifications or equivalent and who have had at least five years work experience at a middle or higher management level; or other relevant qualifications and working towards professional Occupational Health & Safety/Rail Safety Management career development.
Students applying for entry via the third option will need to demonstrate the ability to:
- write high level reports;
- read and analyse academic literature, government policy texts and create detailed reports; and
- complete high level numeric tasks applicable to workplace situations.
IELTS band score of 6 (with no individual band score of less than 5.5) or equivalent test of English
Note: Students applying for entry without a three year Bachelor degree from an Australian university will be assessed by the Head of Program.
Computing Requirements
It is a requirement of enrolment in this program that students have access to the CQUniversity website. Students may be required to undertake various components of study in the program using email and the Internet.
It is strongly recommended that students have access to a broadband connection or higher to access online student resources that would include but not limited to, email, internet, video streaming, electronic assessment submission.
