Entry requirements
Applicants must be:
- full-time employment in the relevant field and agreement of support from employer (compulsory); and
- recent (within five years) graduates of Bachelor degree.
Candidates who do not meet the above requirements but have at least five years of work experience in the appropriate field and show learning maturity and capability may be accepted initially in the Graduate Certificate program (CG31) on the recommendation (in writing) of their employer. Students who achieve an average grade of credit or above may seek to change to the Graduate Diploma program by term 3 of their first year.

Program Structure
The Graduate Diploma program will be a 2 year part-time nominal program consisting of 6 consecutive one term offering of the following courses:
Year 1 - T1 - RAIL29014 OPS1 - Introduction to Rail Operations Management
Year 1 - T2 - RAIL29015 OPS2 - Railway Infrastructures
Year 1 - T3 - RAIL29016 OPS3 - Network and Localised Train Control
Year 2 - T1 - RAIL29017 OPS4 - Train Planning
Year 2 - T2 - RAIL29018 OPS5 - Passenger and Freight Operations
Year 2 - T3 - RAIL29019 OPS6 - Rail Operations Risk Management and Administration
Each of these courses will only be available in the designated term.
Computing Requirements
It is a requirement of enrolment in this program that students have access to the CQUniversity website. Students may be required to undertake various components of study in the program using email and the Internet.
It is strongly recommended that students have access to a broadband connection or higher to access online student resources that would include but not limited to, email, internet, video streaming, electronic assessment submission.
