The Human Resource Management major is accredited by the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI).  Graduates will be eligible for membership of AHRI upon successful completion of their program.

Marketing graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Market and Social Research Society.

Management graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Management.

The Supply Chain Management major is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) through to 31st December 2012 and graduates may be eligible to apply for membership of CIPS .  Due to a change in the structure of this major in 2013 the accreditation is currently under review.  If you are seeking further information on the current status of accreditation, please contact the Head of Program prior to enrolment.

The Property major is accredited by the Australian Property Institute (API).  Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible for Associate membership and Certified Property Practitioner (CPP) certification upon completion of a period of Approved Professional Experience.  For more information, please refer to the Australian Property Institute website http://www.api.org.au/

A Certified Property Practitioner (CPP) is referred to by the API as a person involved in the property fields of sales, leasing and negotiation, research, education, law, consultancy, finance corporate real estate and government owned or controlled assets.

Please note: completion of this major will not provide students with the relevant qualification to be certified with the API as a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) nor will it make students eligible for registration with the Valuers Registration Board in Queensland (other states may vary, please refer to individual state bodies if residing outside of Queensland).  Students wishing to become registered valuers should enrol in CF56 Bachelor of Property.

Credit transfer will only be granted where a student is able to demonstrate that tertiary studies equivalent in content and depth to a Bachelor of Business course has been completed. Students should examine the course synopses in this handbook to determine the courses from which they may be eligible to claim exemption. Refer to the Credit Transfer website at http://www.cqu.edu.au/credittransfer for further details.

Students who have completed courses under a business program at another formally recognised institution at Diploma level or above, for which there is no equivalent course at CQUniversity, may at the discretion of the Head of Program, be granted credit for an unspecified business elective in the Bachelor of Business degree. 

A recommended study schedule for this program can be obtained from your Program Advisor or the Faculty website. Students may determine their own schedule based upon credit transfers and personal study requirements. It is important to note that full-time students usually enrol in 4 courses per term and part-time students usually enrol in 2 courses per term.

CQUniversity recognises TAFE study as a pathway to University.  The University currently has a partnership arrangement with the Central Queensland Institute of TAFE (CQIT) whereby students who have completed a Diploma of Business or Diploma of Management at CQIT will be given direct entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Business program. 

CQUniversity and Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE (SCIT) have also established a partnership to collaborate in the delivery of the Diploma of Tourism and Diploma of Events and Bachelor of Business (Tourism) at SCIT's Noosa campus.  This arrangement will enable graduates of the SCIT Diploma of Tourism and Diploma of Events to articulate directly into University studies.

Diploma graduates can transition directly from SCIT into the second year of the CQUniversity Bachelor of Business (Tourism) specialisation.
