The Graduate Certificate in Safety Science is an applied science program that is based in psychology with cross-disciplinary influences from engineering, ergonomics, management and industrial design. Throughout the program students will learn a detailed body of knowledge and develop key skills to allow them to manage safety in organisations. The program is targeted at mature students who are typically working full-time and looking to upgrade their skills. Thus, the program is designed to be taken part-time in distance mode and entry to the program can be either by undergraduate degree or through work experience in safety at upper or middle management levels. Graduates of the program will possess a detailed set of skills and knowledge that will assist them to manage safety in an organisation.
