CB60 - Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing
Program Aim
This program will achieve a number of outcomes in the development of skills and knowledge relevant for nursing of people experiencing mental health issues.
Specifically they will:
- be able to apply the knowledge obtained to a broad range of specific practice settings at a beginning practice level;
- participate in professional development activities including writing and presentation;
- develop an understanding of the state and national strategic directions for mental health care and apply this knowledge across all health care settings;
- gain appreciation of the holistic nature of mental health care including the cultural, spiritual, social, biological, and psychological features of illness and health;
- obtain knowledge and skills at the beginning level to assist groups and individuals to be empowered in attaining, preserving and establishing positive mental health outcomes.
Program Structure
Students must complete 3 courses (24 units of credit).
