Program Aim
This program is designed to further develop the technical and communication skills of students who have completed the CQUniversity Graduate Diploma of Water Resources Management or Australian equivalent. This is an opportunity to increase their breadth and depth of knowledge and application of skills in the area of water resources management. The wide variety of specialised coursework electives and study options enable students to create a program of study that meets their individual needs.
Program Structure
CQUniversity offers the Master of Water Resources Management as part of a suite of postgraduate courses in water resources management in partnership with the following Australian universities:
- Flinders University
- The University of Adelaide
- The University of South Australia
Individual courses are delivered by a mix of the universities through the ICE WaRM portal using various technologies such as online delivery or the Access Grid depending upon the student enrolment.
To be eligible for the degree students are required to complete a total of 72 units of study. Students are required to undertake the core courses (24 units) and coursework elective courses (24 units). Of the remaining 24 units of study, students are able to choose from the following study options:
- Coursework courses (24 units); or
- Coursework courses (12 units) and minor project (12 units); or
- Research/minor thesis (24 units); or
- Industry project (24 units).
