The Bachelor of Nursing aims to provide students with the theoretical, practical and research knowledge required to be a competent and effective Registered Nurse.  On successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing, the graduate is eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) General with the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. To be accepted for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, graduates are required to disclose; any criminal history, physical and/or psychological impairments and meet specific English language standards. Students who have completed a Diploma in Nursing qualification or equivalent are eligible to apply for credit for up to eight courses and undertake the Diploma of Nursing entry pathway. 

Full time students may undertake an accelerated program over two years (6 terms).

To satisfy the requirements of the award, students must complete 144 units of credit consisting of 138 units of credit from 22 core courses and 6 units of credit from an approved suite of electives or other approved by the Head of Program. Please note this program structure is subject to accreditation by ANMAC
(Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council).
