Entry Requirements

To gain entry to this program, students must have:

  • A bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian University or college or equivalent; and/or
  • An Advanced Diploma in Property Valuation as approved by the Australian Property Institute, plus a minimum of 5 years work experience in property or property related employment.

Students who are graduates from an Australian Property Institute (API) Certified Practicing Valuer (CPV) accredited program and who completed their study within the last 10 years are not eligible for entry to this program.

Registration with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland

Students should be aware that registration with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland is not automatic upon completion of either the Graduate Diploma of Property Valuation or the Master of Property Valuation.  Students when applying for registration will need to satisfy the Board with written confirmation that their program together with their prior studies satisfies the knowledge field requirements for Associate Membership of the Australian Property Institute with CPV status.  Students should make contact with the Australian Property Institute at their earliest opportunity to confirm that they will satisfy the required knowledge fields.

Study Schedules

A recommended study schedule for this program can be obtained from your Program Advisor or the Faculty website.  Students may determine their own schedule based upon credit transfers and personal study requirements.  It is important to note that full-time students usually enrol in 3 courses per term and part-time students usually enrol in 1 or 2 courses per term.
