CU78 - Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood Education)

Program Structure - Pathway A
Program planners can be accessed from the following link:  http://www.cqu.edu.au/faculties/faculty-of-arts,-business,-informatics-and-education/changes-and-planners/undergraduate/education-planners.  It is recommended that students commencing in the BLM (Early Childhood Education) program undertake their studies over a minimum four year period as outlined below:
4 year option
Year 1
Year 2
Year 3
Students who have completed EDED11402 e.Learning Manager should not complete FAHE11001 Managing E-Learning.
Year 4

Please note: Students are required to complete 2 x early childhood courses in Term 3. Availability of courses may vary between campuses and are offered alternate years. Please check your campus for availability.

 

Students undertaking EDFE13027 Embedded Professional Learning 5 - Internship.  As part of accreditation with the Queensland College of Teachers, students are required to pass all coursework, except FAHE13001 Professional Skills, before undertaking their final placement, EDFE13027 Embedded Professional Learning 5 - Internship.

Pathway A - 3 year option (fast track)

This option is only available to students who have demonstrated, and continue to demonstrate high achievement in their studies.  Students are required to seek permission from the Program Coordinator before commencing the 'fast-track' program structure. 

Program Structure - Catholic Education Strand
The Catholic Education strand is available to students enrolled in the BLM (Early Childhood Education) program, however, potential students should note that entry to this pathway is available by interview and acceptance only with application details provided at each location.  This program is not available at Noosa Campus.  Due to the availability of the religious education courses, the Catholic Education strand is not available to students seeking mid-year entry to the program.  Religious Education courses are to be completed by internal mode only.

* RELG19001 Religious Experience and Texts and RELG19002 Religious Traditions and Rituals are not available to students seeking mid-year entry to the program.

Year 4

This pathway is for students who have completed CHC50302 Diploma in Childrens' Services' (Child Care).

 

Students completing Program Structure - Pathway B are ineligible to complete the Catholic Education Strand.
