HonoursCA61 - Bachelor of Business (Honours)
Program Aim
This program combines coursework and a dissertation. It is designed to provide Bachelor of Business graduates who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance with the opportunity to gain experience in research, particularly of business issues.
On successful completion of this program, graduates will be able to:-
- demonstrate a understanding of existing academic knowledge in the area of their study with advanced understanding in some areas;
- identify and use relevant business management theory, data and analytical techniques to research a carefully specified problem with some independence ;
- write up and present the results of a substantial research project in a clear and well organised fashion;
- reflect on and assess their own capabilities and performance, and that of collaborators and make use of feedback as appropriate, to support personal and professional development; and
- think critically and apply initiative and judgment in adapting business knowledge to complex situations to develop new understanding.
Candidates for admission must possess an appropriate pass degree from an Australian university or college with a grade point average of 5 or better. Applicants will need to provide a 1000 word proposal on their proposed topic and entry is subject to availability of supervision for the proposed topic.

Program Structure
Candidates must complete 48 units of credit to graduate from this course, comprising of:
- 2 courses (12 credit points each) with coursework; and
- a dissertation equivalent to 24 credit points.
The sequence of study for part-time candidates will be determined in consultation with their supervisors and the Associate Dean (Research). This may differ from that of full-time students and different study loads and time limits may apply.
