ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be registered nurses or/ registered midwives seeking to update their knowledge and skills.
Please note that a university qualification is not required for entry into this program.
CLINICAL PRACTICUM
Upon enrolment all students must indicate three preferred Maternity units where they wish to undertake clinical practicum by emailing midwiferyclplacements@cqu.edu.au
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Registered Nurses; Midwives either returning to update their practice or registration need to submit the following documentation to the Head of Program when seeking Credit Transfer ‘exemptions' into the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery.
- Curriculum vitae (to support application)
- Certified copies of previous education or training certificates (to support application)
- Copies if current or previous registration practicing certificate (to support application)

Recognition of prior learning will only be granted where a student is able to demonstrate that tertiary study equivalent in content and depth to the CQUniversity program has been successfully completed. Students should examine the course synopses in the CQUniversity handbook to determine the courses from which they may be able to claim exemption. COMPUTING REQUIREMENTS
It is a requirement of enrolment in this program that students have access to the CQUniversity website via internet. Students may be required to undertake various components of study in the program using email and the Internet.
It is strongly recommended that students have access to a broadband connection or higher to access online student resources that would include but not limited to, email, internet, video streaming, electronic assessment submission.
