Program Aim
The Bachelor of Business program is CQUniversity's premier business management program. The program allows students to undertake studies in a wide range of business and management related fields, which in turn provides students with a wide range of career opportunities. The program also provides students with membership pathways to numerous professional bodies, ensuring that upon completing the program, students receive not only an academic qualification, but recognition of their skills and knowledge within their chosen profession.
The program provides a flexible degree pathway, offering a diverse range of courses and providing students the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills relating to the modern business environment.
Program Structure
- To satisfy the requirements for the award, students must complete 24 courses (144 units of credit) which comply with the requirements stated below.
Students must complete: - 6 core courses; and
- 18 courses as detailed for one of the majors listed as available for this program.
Available majors include:
Majors
- Marketing (Graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Market and Social Research Society);
- Human Resources Management
- Management (Graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Management);
- Information Systems (This major is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Please note: the ACS accredits each campus individually; therefore students should check the current status of accreditation for newly established locations. For enquiries concerning eligibility or membership, please refer to the ACS official website: http:\\www.acs.org.au);
- Procurement and Supply (This major is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). Graduates may apply for membership of CIPS);
- Aviation. (Students complete all theory required to pass the Commercial Pilots theory exam (taken separately), and gain a thorough understanding of both theories and practices in aviation and explore the associated ethical, legal and security issues. Graduates are employed in non-flying positions within the aviation industry at both operational and management levels. The program does NOT include the practical side of learning to fly.)
