CG41 - Start Uni Now

Program Aim

The SUN program is designed to provide an opportunity for gifted and talented high school students. SUN acknowledges that gifted and talented students need the opportunity to extend their education in their area of interest.

Through the SUN Program, students have exposure to the university and experience as a university student. They become familiar with the policies, procedures and expectations of the university which helps them have a smoother transition into university.

Program Structure

Students enrol on a term-by-term basis and can apply in terms one, two or three. They can obtain up to 24 units of credit but do not have to obtain the full 24. Students need to pass one course to be eligible to enrol in another. Some SUN courses are worth 6 units of credit and some of are worth 12. Students can select to enrol internally or externally, subject to course availability. For a complete list of SUN courses, please visit www.cqu.edu.au/sun.
