Career Opportunities

On completing a Bachelor of Theatre (Honours), you will be qualified for a number of different career areas in the entertainment industry including actor or musical theatre performer or a combination of any of these skill sets as a collaborative artist.  Opportunities also exist to gain the professional skills necessary for a performing arts industry career as a director, designer, theatre technician or theatre manager.  The degree also provides excellent pathways for careers in education, creative industries and arts administration.

About Theatre

Theatre studies at CQUniversity includes specialisations in music theatre and drama.  Our theatre programs are unique in Queensland in that both areas of expertise are offered within the same, purpose-built space.  Students are exposed to areas such as performance and production studies, theatre studies, the language of modern music and a range of musical genres including ballet, tap, jazz, music theatre and drama.
