Program Aim
- Prepare radiography professionals to serve in the hospitals, clinics and community health care services of Queensland and Australia
- Educate Radiography professionals to contribute to caring and cost effective health care, to initiate improvements and collaborate in inter-disciplinary teams
- Challenge and equip students to be critical and independent learners, experienced in evidence-based practice and collaborative problem solving in inter-cultural health care
- Educate students to critically evaluate and apply research as they create a stimulating and supportive professional environment
- Provide an intellectually challenging education in the discipline of medical imaging to enable graduates to make a positive contribution to health and social fabric of Australian society
- Provide a rigorous intellectual climate that encourages the promotion and use of advanced imaging technologies, assisting in the remediation of disease
- Enable radiographers to make a lifetime contribution to knowledge and understanding in medical imaging in national and international settings
- Create a centre of excellence in teaching and learning, scholarship and community service in health sciences and imaging in Central Queensland and beyond
- Create life long learners who will be prepared for the multiple imaging modalities present now and in the future through an innovative curriculum and post graduate opportunities.
