The aim of the Master of Maintenance Management program is for the student to apply the knowledge and skills gained from experience and studies in maintenance management towards creation of opportunities to improve maintenance practices thereby providing leadership in the industrial maintenance organisation.

This qualification is highly regarded by industry as reflected by the increasing requirement for maintenance engineering/maintenance management qualifications in the selection criteria for many vacancies in the maintenance management field.

About Maintenance Management

CQUniversity offers three different distance education programs in maintenance management leading to the qualifications of Graduate Certificate in Maintenance Management, Graduate Diploma of Maintenance Management and Master of Maintenance Management.  The programs are specifically aimed at the professional upgrading of persons currently employed in the field of asset and maintenance management.

The development of these programs has been in response to a strong and clearly-voiced demand from industry.  The courses within these programs were designed and developed in close cooperation with industry.

The Maintenance Management program aims to produce graduates who understand maintenance philosophies, strategies and processes, have a practical knowledge of the latest maintenance management tools and are able to contribute positively to the management of maintenance in the modern industrial organisation.

The project for the Master of Maintenance Management aligns with the Faculty's desire for industry-based and industry-focused research activity. The student will undertake an in-depth investigation of a maintenance-related workplace issue, providing a solution; or as a minimum, recommendations for improvement.  It requires the student to engage in the analysis, reflection and critique of an organisational problem related to their professional practice.
