This course has completion dates that coincide with the intake for EAP 2. It does not assume prior exposure to academic skills and is designed to prepare you for higher level English study and for successful tertiary level competence.

This course has completion dates that coincide with the commencement of Foundation Studies and Diploma program terms. It includes intensive practice of reading, writing, listening and speaking tasks that you require for university study. It includes research, information literacy and computer skills necessary for producing academic assessments. If you meet all requirements of this 10 week program you are able to gain direct entry to CQUniversity Foundation Studies or the Diploma programs without the need to sit a further IELTS test.

Duration 20 weeks

This 20 week EAP program prepares you for successful study at university or TAFE in Australia. It includes intensive practice of reading, writing, listening and speaking tasks as well as research, information literacy and computer skills necessary for producing academic assessment.

Duration 10 weeks

This 10 week program coincides with the commencement of university terms. It is designed to make you familiar with academic life through hands-on practice with a variety of activities you will undertake as a university student. If you meet all requirements of this 10 week course, you will be able to gain direct entry to CQUniversity without the need to sit a further IELTS test and study for a degree program at any CQUniversity campus (except nursing).

Duration 1-52 weeks (Program offered in Rockhampton campus only) 

You can enrol on any Monday except scheduled vacations, choosing a length of study from 1 - 52 weeks. The course is focused on developing everyday communication skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking. You can transfer from General English to an Academic English program if you meet the minimum entry requirements.

Duration 5 weeks 

This five week program is designed for international students who meet English requirements but would like to gain confidence by undertaking intensive preparation for CQUniversity formal study.
