Entry Requirements

Applications can be registered nurses or/ registered midwives seeking to update their knowledge and skills or/ midwives seeking to re register as a midwife.

 

Note: Students wishing a Refresher or Return to Practice program would enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery (CG33) and ask for Recognition of Prior Learning into this program

Professional Accreditation

Graduates are accredited by the Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) to practice as a midwife.

Residential School

For students continuing from Term 1, 2009

  1. Third Residential - 2010 commencing - 0900 hours 22nd February 2010 - 1530hours 26th Februray 2010

For students commencing in Term 1, 2010:

  1. First Residential - 2010 commencing - 0900 hours 15th February - 1530hours 19th February - Mackay Campus
  2. Second Residential - 2010 commencing - 0900hours 28th June  - 1530hours 2nd July  - NOTE: site to be advised
  3. Third Residential - 2010 commencing - 0900hour 21st February - 1530 hours 25th February - Mackay Campus

For students commencing in Term 1, 2011:

  1. First Residential - 14th February -18th February 2011
Practicum/Work placement 1082 hours clinical midwifery practice
