Entry Requirements
To be eligible for entry into the Master of Professional Education an applicant must demonstrate the capacity to undertake the degree by meeting at least one of the four entrance criteria:
1. A four (4) year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution preferably with an Education major.
2. A three (3) year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution plus recognised prior learning (RPL) involving continuous professional development as evidenced by at least one of:
3. A Graduate Certificate of Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
4. Other undergraduate qualifications where the applicant can demonstrate superior RPL of continuous professional development in the areas listed in 2 above.
In accordance wiith Australian Qualifications Framework (see www.aqf.edu.au/masters.htm) requirements at the Masters level, graduates of the Master of Professional Education will possess a range of academic and vocational attributes such as:
1. A four (4) year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution preferably with an Education major.
2. A three (3) year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution plus recognised prior learning (RPL) involving continuous professional development as evidenced by at least one of:
- significant contribution to industry
- promotion in the workplace
- recognition by a professional body
- community/industry leadership
- Receipt of significant prizes and/or awards
- Personal references that attest to the applicant's high level performance in the workplace/industry/community
- Publications/patents/copyright
3. A Graduate Certificate of Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
4. Other undergraduate qualifications where the applicant can demonstrate superior RPL of continuous professional development in the areas listed in 2 above.

- the ability to solve complex problems and think rigorously and independently.
