CQ05 - Bachelor of Information Technology (Co-op)

Program Aim

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Co-op) provides a distinguished bachelors degree in IT that enables students to acquire valuable experience through a paid, supervised, industry placement. Students normally undertake industry placement following the successful completion of two years (4 terms) of study.  Industry placements are typically of six months duration.

Courses in the first two years of the program provide the student with a solid grounding in the core body of IT knowledge and skills. Courses in the last two years of the program allow the student to choose an area of specialisation in preparation for employment or further studies.

Program Structure

Students are required to complete:

  • 12 core courses;
  • 2 industry placement courses;
  • 1 specialisation (4 courses); and
  • 8 electives.
