CU55 - The Professional Doctorate (Transdisciplinary Studies)

Program Aim
This program provides a high level of knowledge and skills development for professionals dealing with the demands of the digital economy that normally would not be available to candidates in the work place at the stage in their career trajectory.  Based in a problem-solving perspective, courses are aimed at developing insights into the challenges of social, economic and political change that are relevant to all kinds of professional work.
Program Structure

The program of study shall consits of:

1.  Coursework component providing research education relating to professional practice and relative to the proposed program of study.

2.  Advanced research tasks, which contribute to planning and undertaking research, one of which shall be a colloquium that defines the proposed research.

3.  A research project that addresses an important problem or question concerning policy and/or paratice in a profession or industry.
