Career Opportunities

Bachelor of Performing Arts (Specialisation) graduates are found in a range of professional arts environments. The program provides flexible study opportunities for students pursuing professional careers as actors, dancers, musicians, arts managers, music technologists and educators. Due to the flexible nature of the program and the offering of some strands in flexible delivery, arts practitioners can also undertake some strands without losing career placement or current employment opportunities.

About Performing Arts (Specialisation)

The Bachelor of Performing Arts (Specialisation) is a flexible program with a number of specialisation options, preparing graduates who are competent to work in a variety of settings within the Arts industry.  The program aims to provide students with a firm grounding across a broad range of professional areas, with expertise in at least one of the performing arts discipline areas depending on their specialisation.  The program provides the opportunity to specialise in music or pursue a multidisciplinary approach with training in dance, drama and music.  Those wishing to tailor a program with an emphasis on their own particular interests may take a generic strand and pick courses to suit.
