Building surveyors (Level 2) interpret and enforce laws and regulations controlling residential and low-rise commercial buildings and work for local government, state and federal authorities including licensing and code boards, and private certifiers.
About Building Surveying
Do you want to be able to certify residential and commercial buildings? Building surveyors (Level 2) are able to certify buildings ranging from family homes to low rise multi-storey commercial buildings. Whether you wish to work in a large city or a smaller regional town, you will find there are opportunities for building surveyors.
Studies cover courses associated with building legislation, building auditing, fire safety design and inspection procedures along with construction, building materials, services, professional practice and communication. Principles of sustainability are integrated throughout the program.
CQU's building environment field of study is designed with students' needs in mind. Offered exclusively by distance education mode, the program is completed part-time while you are working or seeking employment in the industry.
