CG18 - Masters of Water Resources Management

Program Aim

This program is designed to further develop the technical and communication skills of students who have completed the CQU Graduate Diploma of Water Resources Management or Australian equivalent.  This is an opportunity to increase their breadth and depth of knowledge and application of skills in the area of water resources management.  The wide variety of specialised coursework electives and study options enable students to create a program of study that meets their individual needs.

Program Structure

In undertaking courses in the Graduate Certificate students must be able to link into any of the CQU Access Grids or the Access Grid of the partners involved in ICE WaRM.

To be eligible to graduate students are required to complete a total of 72 credit units of study.  This consists of 8 courses, of which 4 are core courses and 4 are electives (of which at least 3 must be undertaken from one stream).  The remaining 24 credit units can be completed by choosing one of the following study options:

  • further 4 courses (6 credit units each);
  • further 2 courses (6 credit units each) and a minor project (12 credit units);
  • an industry project (2 courses at 12 credit units each); or
  • a research minor thesis (2 courses from research methods/practice at 6 credit units each and 1 minor thesis course of 12 credit units).
