HonoursCG15 - Bachelor of Building Surveying and Certification
Program Aim
This program produces graduates capable of assessing building documentation for codes and standards compliance and inspecting staged works on all classes of buildings, as defined by the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
Students should note prerequisite requirements and course availability (in this handbook) when formulating and nominating their study load for the year. Courses are offered annually. It is suggested that courses be studied as shown in the recommended study schedule. The loading may be varied to balance work and family commitments. If assistance is required, contact the Program Coordinator. Students should actively seek employment in the building industry.
Prospective students should note that exemptions from courses within the program may be given where their previous study at AQF certificate 4 level or higher fully meets the learning outcomes of a course. Students should not enrol into a course where they are seeking an exemption. The Faculty has established sets of exemptions for holders of selected TAFE qualifications.
