Program Aim
The Associate Degree of Journalism provides a concentrated program of study in modern journalism practice combined with skills and knowledge relevant to new communication technology and the internet.
The program provides an understanding of the social, political and cultural significance of the internet as well as practical skills in internet research and journalism.
Graduates will be prepared to adapt to the evolving interactive environment of internet communication.
Graduates of the Associate Degree will be eligible to proceed to the Bachelor of E-Journalism degree.
Program Structure
To obtain an Associate Degree of Journalism, a student must complete a total of 16 courses as follows:
- 12 compulsory courses:
- 4 at Level 1;
- 8 at Advanced Level; and
- 4 electives.
