Graduates have the expertise to enter into a wide range of biomedical relevant employment fields. Employment opportunities exist in industrial science, pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries, hospitals, biomedical research, food industry, microbiological and medical diagnostics, agricultural industries, life sciences instrumentation industry, forensic science and government authorities. Graduates may also progress to medicine through GAMSAT.
About Biomedical Science
Study the biological aspects of medical science and explore the advanced theoretical and practical concepts associated with areas of biochemical, biological, veterinary, para-medical and other related sciences.
Students are introduced to biomedical and chemical science concepts, with further study in areas such as microbiology, macromolecules and cell function, molecular biology and biotechnology, analytical science, and pharmacology and toxicology.
